There isn’t really any way around this, and we can only tell you how to get around the protection by disabling SIP. UPDATE 2: TotalFinder has launched a new version which works with Ventura, on Intel (tested and verified). I dont want to use all of TotalFinder, because I prefer default Mac OS X Finder, but I wish it had a keyboard shortcut to show a finder window over top of. In fact, TotalFinder and TotalSpaces2 can work with only the debug and file system protections turned off, and advanced users may want to use this command in the terminal in recovery mode: csrutil enable -without debug -without fs. There are no updates on the site, but since it's Intel, it still works. Obviously I'm not the first one to comment on Ventura's looks (the Dock, the rounded corners), but the Finder is just as terrible as it ever was. Has anyone found a way to get TotalFinder, or an equivalent, to work with Ventura?! I'm dying over here without my coloured sidebar, cut+paste, and reasonable tabs. Alas, TotalFinder was the replacement for XtraFinder that I'm using on my M1 Studio with Monterrey. It basically broke my system and I had to uninstall it and re-enable csrutil just to get through the day. Fixed: It is now possible to copy UNC-style paths from Copy Path submenu. New: Compatibility with Finder 10.8.2 (which is included in OS X update 10.8.3) Implemented 'Reopen Closed Tab' (idea). Installed all my apps just to get back up and running, but had real problems with TotalFinder. TotalFinder is a remarkably useful Finder extension for managing your folders and files more effectively. Just updated my MacBook Air (Intel, mid-2018) to Ventura as a test-run before I upgrade my main system.
